Hi, my name is Weronika
I am a photographer and visual artis in my twenties, based in Switzerland, and the person behind "Letters From A Pigeon". This project grew out of a wish to return to making things with more tenderness, curiosity, and joy. It is a physical photography and poetry mail club, created for people who still believe in the beauty of small, tangible things.
How this journey began
After graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Photography, I found myself in a strange in-between place. I was applying, waiting, hoping, and trying to find my way in the creative field. Somewhere along the way, creating had started to feel heavy, as if everything needed a purpose, an outcome, or a justification. With this project, I wanted to come back to making something simply because it moves me.
What these letters carry
The idea is simple: each month, you receive a letter with a short introductory text, a poem, a photographic print, and a postcard. I wanted to create something physical, something that can be held, opened, kept, shared, and returned to. In a world that feels increasingly fast and digital, "Letters From A Pigeon" is my way of making space for slowness, attention, and connection.
The beauty of noticing small things
I have always loved the smaller things in life: pigeons on the roof, dust moving through light, sunlight passing through trees, or moments that seem like almost nothing and yet stay with you. Each month, I want to write and photograph from that place of noticing. If you move through the world in a similar way, I would love for you to follow along this journey.
